The IMT Group distributes all of their insurance products through local independent insurance agents. The majority of these agents are located in small communities throughout our five state territory which consists of Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Therefore, giving back to communities every day is very important to The IMT Group.

"Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids' Cancer" The IMT Group has begun a relationship with the St. Baldrick's Foundation in sponsoring 5 employees in 2010 who volunteered to be shavees and raise funds to save lives. This event united all of our employees, agents, family and friends in efforts to raise money for this foundation. It was such a success that planning is underway to make this an annual event. The IMT Group was recently recognized as a Donor of Distinction by the Iowa Health Foundation. The donors recognized have given more than $50,000 over the years to the Iowa Health Foundation. These donations have primarily come from our sponsorship of the Blank Children’s Hospital Festival of Trees & Lights. The Festival made its debut in 1984 in Des Moines, and The IMT Group has supported the Festival for over 25 years, displaying our dedication to the healthcare needs of Iowa’s children – making their lives healthier, safer and happier. IMT’s generosity shows a commitment to the tradition of yesterday and the vision of tomorrow.

For over 10 years, The IMT Group has sponsored a Community Contest. Each agent completes an entry form describing a project in need of funds in their community. They also explain how this gift would benefit their community. The IMT Group’s Charitable Giving Committee selects fifteen $500 winners each year.

In addition to the IMT Community Contest, The IMT Group’s Charitable Giving Committee donated more than $16,000 to nearly 60 different charities in 2009. Autism Speaks, Beacon of Life, Hope Ministries, Huntington's Disease Society of America, Iowa Homeless Youth Center, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Salvation Army, Thornton EMT Group and Young Women’s Resource Center are just a handful of the organizations that The IMT Group’s donations went to help support in 2009.

Furthermore, The IMT Group is proud to be the title sponsor of the IMT Des Moines Marathon. The IMT Group recognizes that health and fitness should be a vital part of everyone’s lives. As a result, The IMT Group decided to play a larger role in helping this great event. This not only benefits Des Moines and the surrounding communities, but also Polk County and the State of Iowa.

The IMT Group also partners with Drake University and Jordan Creek Town Center. The IMT logo is prominently located on the jumbotron in Drake Stadium as well as on the basketball court in the Knapp Center on Drake’s campus. At the Jordan Creek Mall located in West Des Moines, Iowa, the IMT and Wadena logos are located on the Kiddie Kruzzer strollers as well as a backlit panel sign and a couple of different murals located throughout the mall.
