RICHARD C. KEITH, CPCU - President, CEO & Chairman of the Board

Richard grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Roosevelt High School. He graduated with a BA and Masters Degree in Biology from Drake University. He taught school in Des Moines and worked as a summer adjuster for IMT before joining the claims department in a full time management position in 1978. Richard moved to the new position of education manager in 1980 and in 1983 became public relations manager. In 1989 he was promoted to the position of Senior Manager over the marketing services department and in 1991 moved into the role of Assistant Vice President. In 2001 Richard was promoted to Vice President and in July 2002 was named Executive Vice President overseeing the Marketing Services Department and directing public relations, and advertising. In 2003 Richard was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 2004.

SEAN KENNEDY, FCAS, MAAA, CPCU - Executive Vice President

Sean is a graduate of Simpson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics. He started his career at IMT in 1993 in the Research and Development Department. Sean left IMT to pursue his actuarial designations. With his extensive insurance experience, we were pleased to have him rejoin the IMT team in 2005 as Vice President, Research and Development. In April 2012 he was named to serve as Executive Vice President.

DENNIS G. PATTERSON - Senior Vice President, Information Systems

Dennis joined IMT in 1973 as a programmer. He grew up in Norwalk, Iowa and served four years in the U.S. Navy. He studied Business Administration at Northwest Missouri State and Grandview College. During his IMT career, Dennis advanced to Programmer Analyst, Systems Analyst, Programming Supervisor, Data Systems Manager, Senior Manager, and Assistant Vice President and was elected Vice President of Information Systems in 1993.

GREG BLYTHE - Vice President, Accounting & Treasurer

Greg is a graduate of Valley High School. Greg started his career with IMT as an Accountant after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Accounting. Greg advanced to Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Manager, was elected Assistant Vice President by the Board in 2007, and was elected Vice President and Treasurer in 2008.

BRAD BUCHANAN, CPCU - Vice President, Personal Lines

Brad began his IMT career in 1989 and since that time has demonstrated his abilities in several areas including Accounting, Reinsurance and Marketing. Brad graduated from Valley High School and went on to earn his Masters Degree from the University of Iowa. In 2000 Brad assumed the Director of Personal Lines title and then was elected Assistant Vice President overseeing Personal Lines in 2002, later that year Brad was named Vice President of Personal Lines.

RICH NAUMAN, CPCU - Vice President, Marketing

Rich, a Marshalltown native, started at IMT in January of 1976 immediately after graduating from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Insurance Major). Rich started his IMT career as a claims trainee and in late 1976 was transferred to the Cedar Rapids Claims Branch Office where he became a Claims Representative in Eastern Iowa. In 1980, Rich transferred to the Field Department and became the Field Representative in Southeast Iowa. He was then transferred back to the Home Office in 1987 where he became the Production Manager and was later promoted to Senior Manager of Field Services in 1989, Senior Manager of Marketing Services in 2004 and Director of Marketing in 2005. In 2009, he became the Vice President of Marketing and currently oversees the Field Services and Marketing Services Departments.

CHRIS OWENSON, CPCU - Vice President, Claims

Chris started his career with IMT as a Claims Trainee after graduating from the University of Northern Iowa where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Public Relations. He has assumed duties over his career in Claims, Reinsurance, Marketing and Underwriting. He currently serves as Vice President overseeing the Des Moines, Sioux City, Quad Cities and Sioux Falls claim branch offices.

MARK VASEY - Vice President, Commercial Lines

Mark is a graduate of Hoover High School and Drake University where he received a Bachelors degree in Social Science. He began his career at IMT in 1977 as a Safety Engineer. Mark began his second round with IMT in 1990 as an Underwriting Specialist in Commercial Lines. Mark currently serves as Vice President overseeing the Commercial Lines teams, Commercial Lines Underwriters, Loss Control Representatives and Bond Department.

BRIAN NEITZEL - Vice President, Research and Development

Brian was elected Vice President Research and Development at IMT in 2012. He is responsible for actuarial matters and product development. Prior to joining IMT, Brian held various actuarial positions in the insurance industry, where he was responsible for personal lines pricing, corporate actuarial functions and development of predictive modeling capabilities. He is a graduate of Drake University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science.

DALENE HOLLAND - Corporate Secretary

Dalene started her career with IMT working summers in the liability, claims and communication departments. She graduated from Simpson College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Dalene’s full time employment started in the Workers' Compensation Department and eventually she moved into management services. In 2004 she was promoted to Assistant Secretary and elected Corporate Secretary by the Board in 2008.
